Assistant Professor — Strategic Communication

The Department of Strategic Communication (StratComm) in the School of Media and Communication at Temple University invites applications for a one-semester, non-tenure track position of Assistant Professor.

This position is for the Spring 2013 semester. The appointee’s area of specialization should be public relations, with special interest and experience in teaching courses such as research methods, public relations writing, social media, and public relations campaigns.

The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. or be an A.B.D. in communication at the time of application.  Preference will be given to applicants with a record of outstanding college-level teaching with professional experience in public relations.

The department is one of four in a school of more than 3,000 students. Strategic Communication has 10 full-time faculty and 360 undergraduate majors studying in one of three concentrations: organizational leadership, rhetoric and public advocacy, and public relations.
