Tenure track Assistant Professor

Temple University’s School of Media and Communication (SMC) seeks to fill a tenure-track assistant professor position in the Department of Media Studies and Production to begin in Fall 2014.

The successful candidate will specialize in some combination of media economics, media institutions, and media audiences, and will have expertise in quantitative research methods. The ability to approach these areas from both theoretical and practical perspectives is desirable.
A Ph.D. in hand by August 2014 is required.  Applicants should have an established scholarly research trajectory, teaching experience, and an interest in teaching existing undergraduate and graduate courses in the department.

The Department of Media Studies and Production has 800 undergraduate majors and an M.A. program. The department also contributes to a new school-wide M.S. in Globalization and Development Communication and a Ph.D. program in Media and Communication.
