The Los Angeles Internship Program was an invaluable experience for me. There is definitely a difference in environment and attitude in the west and east coasts, and the program allowed me to determine if Los Angeles was right for me. Through internships, classes, and special events you are able to meet and work with a variety of talented professionals working in the industry.

I, like many of you may be, was unsure of whether or not to go. I had hopes of going my junior summer but I had also done the Temple London Program that same year and it just turned out to be too much. I was hesitant about going my senior summer because I had already fulfilled my credits. But I knew that if I didn’t take this opportunity, which I had been planning on doing throughout my entire time at Temple, I would regret it.
I am so unbelievably happy I chose to go. The opportunities that this program has given me are endless. I know people might have said ‘why don’t I just move out on my own without the help of Temple,’ but I know I would never have been able to work up the courage to move out on my own and this program was a perfect way to transition to life in Los Angeles. It really didn’t even feel like a school program, it felt more like my first try working in the entertainment industry in Los Angeles, but with a strong foundation of people behind me to support me along my first attempts to make it in a city where it is so hard to break out.
The program also guaranteed an internship opportunity and had housing waiting for you when you arrived. I couldn’t have asked for a better offer and I am so happy I didn’t turn it down.
I am also glad I decided to do the program this summer because I can immediately begin to look for work out in Los Angeles. I was able to tell my internships that I could stay if they needed me to, or even if they didn’t, I was told to contact them after the summer and line up a few interviews. So the program has paid off in even more ways than I could have hoped for; ending my summer with possible job opportunities.
Because of this program, I now know that I can move out to Los Angeles on my own. I now have the confidence, contacts and will power to do so. I hope to move out within the next year. Without the help of the Temple LA Intern Program, I don’t think I would be where I am today. I am so grateful for this incredible experience. It truly has been one of the best experiences of my life.

I absolutely loved living in Los Angeles, I think it is amazing here. I know I was only here for a short amount of time but I made some amazing friends outside of the internship program that I know I will stay in touch with. I am planning on moving back out here in February and hopefully working at Bunim-Murray. I have been working along side the post coordinator for Kourtney and Kim Take New York 2 and he has assured me that he is going to try and get me a post coordinator position on a new show we are working on. I hands down have loved living here in LA.
