FMA internships provide students with tools to navigate the transition between studying film and media arts, to working in film, media arts and entertainment fields as professionals. By providing hands-on opportunities in the craft, creative voice and entertainment businesses, approved and supervised placements allow juniors and seniors in good academic standing to receive a maximum of four academic credits gaining introductory experience in the film and new media marketplace. FMA internships help students identify both short and long-term career goals. With the guidance and support of the department, they refine career-launching skills for competitively packaging their industry experiences for employment upon graduation. Options range from locally based internships to those offered through the department’s study away programs in Los Angeles and the San Francisco Bay Area. Interested candidates may apply for enrollment via application and interview.
