Derek Freese Youth Media Film Festival

The Derek Freese Youth Media Film Festival highlights the talent and abilities of the Mid-Atlantic regional young filmmakers. Sponsored by Temple University’s Department of Film and Media Arts, the festival was named in honor of former Temple undergraduate film student, Derek Freese, and is held at Temple each spring. The Derek Freese Youth Media Film Festival offers young filmmakers in age 12 through 18 an opportunity to screen their work for their peers and film professionals and to compete for awards in the narrative, experimental, documentary, animation and other several categories.
