Undergraduate Admissions
Applicants for admission into the journalism program will be considered directly from high school or as transfer students from other college programs at any time during the year. Students transferring to Temple are limited to a maximum of 12 credits from an accredited journalism program and nine credits from a non-accredited program.

Graduate Admissions
The Application
Applicants must submit, a statement of goals, official transcripts, scores from the Graduate Record Examination, and two letters of recommendation. Writing samples and a record of professional experience also can be submitted.

Taking the GRE
All applicants must take verbal and quantitative parts of the Graduate Record Exam prior to acceptance into the program.

Deadlines
The M.J. program has rolling admissions. A completed application may be considered at almost any time. In general, applications must be complete by March 1 to be considered for assistantships and scholarships.
