Her two previous books are: Pages from the Past: History and Memory in American Magazines (2005) and The Girl on the Magazine Cover: The Origins of Visual Stereotypes in American Mass Media (2001). Her articles on history and memory in journalism have appeared in Journalism Studies, Journalism History, Memory Studies, Critical Studies in Media Communication, Popular Communication, Journalism & Mass Communication Quarterly, and other journals.
