Then don’t let this opportunity slip away! Templar Annual Yearbook is looking to hire a director of social media for the 2013-2014 academic year!
It is important to understand that the production of the Templar Annual Yearbook is a collaborative effort and is a considerable time commitment. The production is separated into a specific number of deadlines to ensure the book is completed before the final plant deadline. For any given deadline, each staff member may have more or less work than for another deadline. Additionally, work may not necessarily be due all at once, as the creation of the book is a continuing process throughout the year. Timeliness and the ability to meet deadlines is crucial. When an assignment is not completed on time, it affects other positions and ultimately the publishing of the book. Everyone on staff is reliant on each other, although some staff positions may have a heavier workload than others.

The director of social media will work closely with the editor in chief and marketing director to promote our yearbook, create brand awareness, and remind the student body of upcoming deadlines, events, and opportunities. The main goal is to engage students. The director of social media will be in charge of the Templar’s Facebook and Twitter accounts, as well as any additional social media platforms. He/she is required to post daily and will try to increase the number of followers/friends.
