Eric Sherman
The 2012 Charles and Elaine Sherman Lecture will feature Eric Sherman, the executive vice president of business development at XIX Entertainment in New York.
Sherman is responsible for all aspects of the career of Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler, including music, television, film, production, sponsorship, press and new media.
He also develops new business partnerships for the company in areas including television production, cable network creation, new media and consumer products.
Previously, Sherman was president of Tenth Street Entertainment, a company that served as manager, record label and more for 13 artists, including Tyler, Motley Crue, Blondie and Jet. Prior to that, he was president of FUSE TV, a division of Madison Square Garden and senior vice president/general manager at MTV Networks.
A reception, sponsored by the Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters, will follow the lecture.
The Charles and Elaine Sherman Lecture was established by Charles and Elaine Sherman to benefit the students of the School of Media and Communication and to encourage an ongoing dialogue about broadcasting, cable and satellite in a free society.
