The second issue of the MeSsenger newsletter, produced for students, faculty, and friends of Temple University’s M.S. in Communication Management graduate program, offers a realistic portrait of graduate students – including those who participate in award-winning Temple University sports, work full-time applying their skills to benefit regional communities, critically analyze social issues to inspire organizational change and more.
“We launched the online delivery of our MeSsenger newsletter last semester and received such positive feedback from students, faculty and prospective students that we’re making it an official biannual communication tool,” said Professor Donnalyn Pompper, STRC, director of the M.S. program.
MeSsenger features by-lined articles and photos by M.S. graduate students and faculty; news about research projects, graduate student lifestyles, students’ internship experiences, new curriculum offerings and new faculty; and classroom events.
“Traditional classroom walls at TUCC cannot contain our M.S. students’ enthusiasm and far-flung learning experiences. From online courses, to international reach, to new technologies, numerous positive influences are enhancing our growing M.S. program and we need a newsletter to document it all,” Pompper added.
Pompper seeks ongoing student input for stories and photos at firstname.lastname@example.org. The MeSsenger newsletter is produced each fall and spring.
