Undergraduate Program


Students gain strong analytic and performance skills for a variety of communication contexts and careers where advocacy is the goal, including law, business, public relations, public policy, and government.

The Department of Strategic Communication (STRC) offers four concentrations:

  1. Organizational Leadership
  2. Rhetoric and Public Advocacy
  3. Public Relations
  4. General Sequence

STRC also offers minors in Leadership and Public Relations

Requirements for the Bachelor of Arts

In addition to completing the department core, students must select a concentration and complete the concentration core, advanced courses in the concentration, and courses in the other two concentrations. Students may also be required to complete courses outside the department.
