  • We understand and agree that any and all liability that the University may have to us with respect to such attendance and participation is limited solely to the conduct by the University of the sessions, which shall comprise the program of study titled “Media and Communication Study Away.” We understand and agree that we shall be responsible for and shall have sole liability for (a) travel by the student to and return from the program and during the period of the program, (b) hotel and eating accommodations during such travel and attendance at the program, and (c) such other activities which the Student may undertake exclusive of attendance at and preparation in the program of study. I further understand that my personal responsibility shall include the overnight regional theater trip as well as other voluntary field trips. In consideration for the admission of the Student to the program of study and other good and valuable considerations and intending to be legally bound, we hereby release the University, its officers, agents, servants, and employees from any liability arising out of injury, damage, or any claim of any kind suffered or incurred by the Student or by the Parents of Guardians and as a direct or indirect result of the Student’s attendance at and participation in the program of study set forth herein.
  • Photos may be taken at all Temple SMC Study Away events and course excursions. Some of these photos will be displayed on the SMC Study Away website. By participating in a Temple SMC Study Away program you agree that your photo may be published on our website. You also agree your photo or likeness of you may be used for promotional purposes via video, print, or web, without compensation to you.

    maintained by Temple, or any other educational institution that I have attended.

    warning or probation at my home institution or if there is a change in circumstances which might compromise my success in studying away.
  • Cancellation and Refund Policies

    I have read the cancellation and refund policy below and understand the terms and conditions of that policy.
  • Dublin Cancellation and Refund Policy

    If a student cancels from Feb. 16-March 2 the student is responsible for 10% of the program fee.
    If a student cancels from March 3-March 24 the student is responsible for 25% of the program fee.
    If a student cancels from March 25-April 19 the student is responsible for 50% of the program fee.
    If a student cancels April 20 or later the student is responsible for 100% of the program fee.
  • Global Internship (DCI) Cancellation and Refund Policy

    Working with our partner in all 11 cities (Barcelona, Boston, Chicago, Hong Kong, London, Los Angeles, Miami, New York City, Paris, San Francisco, or Washington, D.C.), DCI, students must make their final enrollment decision by April 1 and officially enroll in the Program through the DCI enrollment portal. Once a student enrolls with DCI, DCI Terms & Conditions, as outlined in the Agreement, are between the participant and DCI. If a student withdraws after enrolling with DCI but before accepting an internship placement, the cancellation fee is $1,000. If a student withdraws after enrolling and accepting an internship offer, DCI will be entitled to retain 100% of the program fee.
