Barcelona
The Temple SMC Barcelona Internship program is an all-inclusive program and provides students with the opportunity to live, learn, and work in one of the most culturally diverse cities on the Mediterranean Sea. Spend some time indulging your other interests, as well. Barcelona is a culturally diverse city that speaks both Catalan and Spanish. Located within the city’s edges are beautiful parks, historic stadiums, famous architecture, beaches around the Mediterranean Sea, and live music and theatres echoing throughout the city’s walls. As one of the world’s fashion plates, Barcelona is also popular for shopping and Las Ramblas is a famous series of 5 interconnected streets that boast being one of the finest pedestrian boulevards in the world filled with cafes, shops, street performers and so much more.
Barcelona also provides a fascinating variation on Spanish culture. The city loves eating, drinking, and partying as you might find in Madrid, but does everything with more of an international influence. Barcelona shows a slightly different side of Spain than you might find elsewhere due to its geography and the influences throughout its history. The resistance of the Catalans over time has left the city with a free-spirited exuberance that both charms and welcomes. The strong cultural and linguistic roots of Catalonia are deeply embedded in the city’s past and give Barcelona much of its unique flavor.
A number of Barcelona internships are available in almost all industries, most notably communications, public relations, event planning, journalism, publishing and many more. Experience Spain this summer and apply for the Temple SMC Barcelona Internship Program.
Language Proficiency
Overall the more Spanish a student speaks the more opportunities and options they will have available to them during the internship placement process. However, fluency is not necessary to participate in the program. Students with lower Spanish proficiency may be paired, at the internship site, with a student who has stronger Spanish skills on specific internship projects.
Hong Kong

Navigation is easy within the city, as it has a modern public transportation system and signs are in both English and Chinese.

As a student in Hong Kong, you’ll expand your life experience and your knowledge base widely, in many fresh and exciting ways. Apply today!
