Advertising builds critical connections between people and brands, ideas and institutions. This dynamic field is the most visible part of the marketing process and both influences and is influenced by popular culture.

The Bachelor of Arts in Advertising degree program is offered through Temple University’s School of Media and Communication (SMC) and puts students at the leading edge of the advertising industry. You'll learn the fundamentals of advertising, persuasion as well as the emerging digital media used by successful brands worldwide.

Positioned in the nation’s fourth largest media market, this program gives you access to a diverse community of companies, organizations and professionals. You’ll be introduced to the world of advertising through interactive, real-world experiences that prepare you for a variety of careers in the industry.

Collaborative group work is a cornerstone of the industry, and it is a key part of the Advertising program at Temple. Students apply their skills and gain hands-on experience through our student-run branding agency, internships and national student competitions, including the Google Online Marketing Challenge, the Collegiate ECHO Marketing Challenge, the One Club Young Ones Competition and the American Advertising Federation’s National Student Advertising Competition.
