Applying to the Globalization and Development Communication Program

Applications for admission to the Master of Globalization and Development Communication degree program are evaluated on a rolling basis, and a new cohort begins the program in early August each year. (The program does not allow spring admission.) International applicants should apply by March 1 each year, in order to allow time for international transcript evaluation and visa processing.

Information about many aspects of graduate study at Temple—including the application process, financial aid, housing, libraries and more—is available from the Graduate School. The Graduate School can also be reached by phone at 215-204-1380 or fax at 215-204-8781.

In addition to the university application and processing fee, you’ll need to submit

  • official transcripts from all higher education institutions attended,
  • official reports of the GRE (Graduate Record Examinations),
  • two letters of reference,
  • a personal statement of your professional goals and
  • a current résumé or CV.

Writing or research samples are optional, but recommended.

International students also must submit official reports of the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). NOTE: A minimum score of 79 is required by Temple University for all applicants whose native language is not English.
